A Joyful Walk, part 2

Some individuals like to repeat a specific word with each step of their walk, while others recite a prayer or mantra. Some will choose a word to emulate. I prefer to choose a word such as joy or kindness and to illustrate it in action during the day. This is still a work in progress.

When walking the busy bike path, I would sometimes focus on a question that needed an answer. Usually clarity on an issue would be given in some way. On one particular occasion after feeling I had had enough of all the unsupportive things that happened to me since moving to New Mexico, finally feeling broken and hitting bottom, I tearfully asked, “Why did all of these things happen to me?” Usually answers do not come when one is in a lower vibration because we cannot hear the answers given from higher frequencies.

This time was different because I was in nature. Nature has a way of removing unsupportive energy from us. (Try hugging a tree for 10-15 minutes and feel the negativity being drained from you, even to the point of tears of joy.) The answer came loud and clear. “You were made weak so you could be strong.”

Usually the answers are more of a knowingness or a small voice within delivering the message. At the time, I had asked the ‘why’ question many times before I finally heard the answer. My thoughts were I always had to be strong. Wasn’t I already strong enough? If I had to be even stronger, why? I could feel the answer given in a big smile. Obviously, there must have been more yet for me to face.

Elementals may communicate with you or even reveal themselves to those who work with or care for the Earth. When walking in silence or humming a tune, I thank those things that reveal themselves to me. I also hold the frequency of love within my open heart. When walking past a bush filled with birds, only some of them will fly away or move a little further away from me.

The mineral and plant kingdoms have elementals or spirits that look after them. You will find more where there is natural growth than in well manicured properties. Being in nature can be invigorating and help you find the solutions to the problems or questions you may have. For me, I am often given ideas for writings or added information to include.

Today was an example as I started back into a walking routine. My mind wandered to the writings wondering if anything was missing. A reminder crossed my mind about how we are connected, to each other, the Earth and to nature. The Earth nurtures us through food, water and minerals. Are we working in synchronicity with the Earth? What is our part? Just as elementals are the caretakers of plants, we are the caretakers of Earth which is also alive. We are a part of nature and must follow its laws; to learn them, be in nature and observe how nature works. There is no need to travel to sacred areas. All of nature is sacred. Life comes full circle back to nature.

Wishing you love in all that you do,
Mary
